Lots of Kickstarter news this week, including an update from our Smach Z discussion from last week. The Smach team claims that they are now working directly with AMD - something I highly doubt.
Also Remix announced the cancelation of their new TV Box. Their communication to Kickstarter backers also indicates they plan to leave the consumer market entirely with a new focus on B2B applications of their technology. Bad news for Remix fans.
But I was excited to see Newtek announce an affordable networked HDMI capture device this week called the Spark. It streams video back to compatible hardware/software via their open source NDI protocol and also works as a recorder. Lots of possibilities get opened up with this hardware.
My Q&A for you this week is what should I do with marginal products like the Wolverine? Some say I should just lump them into "didn't make the cut" others say review. What say you? Let me know down below.
