How often to we confuse intent and impact, thinking that how others' behavior or words affected us is what they intended? When we reactt instead of considering the possibility of cluelessness as the cause, we remove the possibility of learning rather than blaming. We can give others the benefit of the doubt and move forward with feedback rather than getting stuck in our own assumptions.

But, of course!!
As a (retired) trainer/facilitator, I can't imagine trying to educate/ train/ teach people any way other than from exactly where they are, which is, I think, what you were saying. Conversation is crucial. Corporations may have time constraints, but if you present your changes in a way that only some of the trainees really understand, then you've wasted time needlessly. Another tool that I used every training and that goes beautifully with Conversation is Intuitive Role Playing-cuts the time in half, or better. Great interview, needs to be said more often!
