The Whormones Podcast
About This Show
The Whormones podcast is an anti-feminist, feminist podcast where two completely different points of view of sexuality, feminism, and life are discussed. The politically incorrect humor and witty banter featuring Alia Janine’s wilder and more sexually experienced interpretations, and Jaqi Furback’s biting and more conservative demeanor makes these two the modern day odd couple.

Whormones Podcast Ep71- Spines of the Blow-fish with Tamer Kattan

This week on the podcast, we have Tamer Kattan. Tamer began his comedy career in Los Angeles and New York, but very quickly began to tour internationally. He's performed for the troops in Afghanistan, and the Edinburgh fringe in Scotland, where he received three 4 star reviews from international press. Towards the end of 2013, he moved to London for 1 year (following the path of his two biggest comedic influences, Patrice O’Neal and Bill Hicks). Tamer was most recently featured on Seth Rogen’s Hilarity for Charity event with Todd Glass and Hannibal Buress, won the 2015 World Series of Comedy and has TV & Radio credits on BBC and SkyTV in the UK as well as in the U.S. on Fox, HULU, HGTV & truTV. And now he's back in NYC. We talk about growing up with weird names and how we all got teased as kids. Tamer informs us that growing up in Hollywood CA is not nearly as terrifying as growing up in Cairo, Egypt. He compares his full sleeve tattoos to the spines of a jellyfish and offers an example by a post-show interaction with a biker. We chat about pissgate. Is it real? If so...LOL. We move on to fantasize about fast food - Alia confesses she will cave for KFC, and we all agree BK's fries are the best fries. Tamer talks about his time overseas and European cinema ratings versus American ones and posits that it's healthier for kids to watch sex than anger. We brainstorm organizing vets to save planned parenthood, Tamer demands lesbians help women out by teaching men some things. All that and to Alia's relief, we reached the final segment of "the Art of Being a Lady" by Hannah Pryor. Find Tamer Kattan tamerkattan.com twitter.com/tamerkattan youtube.com/tamerkat
