Since Fautina Anyanwu was young, she was always passionate about writing. However, her mom had other plans for her career such as becoming a nurse. As Africans like Faustina, most of our parents want us to follow certain type of profession in order to become successful. After following her mom’s chosen career she later on decided to follow her own entrepreneurial journey with her husband. Starting with a blog to follow her passion as a writer, Faustina and her husband was able to build 4 successful brands: C.Hub Magazine (www.chubmaganize.com), My Black Women, Divas of Color, and MBW PR (www.mbwpr.com). But that journey came at a cost when they lost their house and almost everything in general. Indeed, they never stop believing on their ability to create authentic content for their loyal followers. Today, Faustina is an author, writer, editor, poet and motivational speaker, and the co founder and chief editor of C.Hub magazine the first and only Afro creative magazine in the UK. She is also the founder of My black Woman (MBW PR and creative agency) that helps women owned businesses to take their place in the global branding.
In this episode, Faustina talks about how she was able to turn her blog into 4 major successful publishing brands, the importance of following your passion, how to create authentic content, and why hardcopy magazines are still relevant in our lives.
