QA Engineer, Mobile Testing

We’re looking for an exceptional QA Engineer experienced in working with mobile platforms, primarily iOS and Android, to join our team. You will oversee and perform the testing of mobile applications from initial concept through planning, implementation, and release on a rapid release cycle. You will thoroughly test all aspects of mobile device and web client/server applications, file bug reports for issues you find, and verify fixes in the product once they are made. You will report on the status of your testing and on the overall quality of the product on a regular basis. You will work closely with developers, other test engineers, designers and product team members on each product release. You will provide second-level support on issues that come in from the users in the field when needed. If you are proficient with mobile applications and understand multi-media applications in the iOS and Android frameworks, we want to talk to you!

Requirements:

We are looking for a QA Engineer who has familiarity with mobile application test planning and execution, with a preference for client/server and audio/media applications. You must be legally authorized to work for any employer in the United States.

Your profile/experience:

  • B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent technical degree
  • Expertise as a user of mobile technology
  • Significant experience using iOS or Android devices
  • Self-motivated and results oriented
  • Passionate about quality, eager to learn new products and platforms
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Team player
The following experience is advantageous but not required:
  • Experience creating and executing manual black box tests for complex applications
  • Website and web application testing experience
  • Understanding of device-specific issues and cross-device testing
  • Experience developing test plans and test cases from functional
  • specifications
  • Ability to find meaningful bugs during exploratory, ad-hoc testing as well as when following documented test cases
  • Familiarity with databases, writing SQL queries, etc.
  • Experience with scripting languages (Perl, Ruby, shell, etc)

  • 1+ year of testing experience with iOS

  • Experience developing test plans and test cases from functional
  • specifications
  • Ability to find meaningful bugs during exploratory, ad-hoc testing as well as when following documented test cases
